Welcome to RUMOR. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of rumor-ski.com (the "Site"), including joining our waitlist. "RUMOR," "we," "us," and "our" mean RUMOR SKI, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company based in Olympic Valley, California. "You" means you.

By using the Site or joining our waitlist, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

We're not selling skis on the Site yet. When sales open, we'll update these Terms to cover orders, payment, shipping, returns, and our warranty, and those updated Terms will apply to any purchase.

1. Who can use the Site

The Site is intended for people in the United States who are at least 18 years old. If you're between 13 and 18, you may use the Site only with a parent or guardian's permission. The Site is not directed to children under 13.

2. The waitlist

You can join our waitlist by giving us your email address and the ski size and colorway you're interested in. Joining is free and doesn't obligate you to buy anything.

Joining the waitlist does not reserve or guarantee a pair of skis, a specific size or colorway, a price, or a delivery date. We'll use your preferences to plan production and to let you know when skis are available. Quantities are limited, and availability will be first come, first served when sales open.

When you join, you agree to receive emails from us about the waitlist, our launch, and RUMOR news and offers. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email. You can also ask us to remove you from the waitlist by emailing support@rumor-ski.com.

3. Product information and photos

Photos. Some photos on the Site show pre-production skis with white sidewalls. Production RUMOR skis have black sidewalls. Colors on screen may also look a bit different from the real thing.

Price and timing. The price shown on the Site is our planned launch price, in U.S. dollars. We reserve the right to change it before pre-sale or sales open, and if we do, we'll let the waitlist know before anyone can buy. Shipping and any sales tax will be added at checkout. Launch timing will be confirmed when sales open. Nothing on the Site is an offer to sell; the price and terms that apply to your purchase are the ones shown at checkout.

4. Using the Site

You agree not to misuse the Site. That includes trying to hack or disrupt it, scraping it, signing up other people without their permission, using it for anything unlawful, or impersonating anyone. We may remove waitlist entries or block access for anyone who does.

We may link to third-party sites or use third-party tools. We aren't responsible for their content or practices.

5. Our content and trademarks

Everything on the Site is owned by RUMOR or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. That includes the RUMOR name, logos, designs, graphics, photos, videos, and text. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it without our written permission, other than for personal, non-commercial use such as sharing a link.

6. Your content

If you send us ideas, photos, survey answers, or feedback (including by email or by DM on Instagram at @rumor.ski), or tag us on social media, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, share, and display that content in connection with RUMOR. We'll ask your permission before featuring your photos or videos in our marketing. You confirm you have the rights to anything you send us and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights.

7. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise the Site will always be available, error-free, or secure.

Resort information. The Site may show ski resorts near you and their expected opening days. This information comes from public and third-party sources, is provided for fun and convenience only, and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Opening days change with weather and resort decisions, so check directly with the resort before making plans. Resort names belong to their owners, and RUMOR is not affiliated with or endorsed by any resort unless we say so.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RUMOR and its owners, employees, and partners won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.

9. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless RUMOR from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem, please email us first at support@rumor-ski.com. Most issues can be resolved quickly that way. We ask that you give us 30 days to try to resolve a dispute informally before taking legal action.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally may be brought in small claims court if it qualifies. Otherwise, it will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Placer County, California. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your state.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the effective date.

12. Everything else

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce any part isn't a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and RUMOR about the Site.
